This shaving brush handle was made of a fallen 200 year old Chestnut tree that grew close to the ruins of 1500 Dunfierth Church and Graveyard located in County􀂮 Kildare, Ireland. Natural voids in the wood were filled with bronze inlays.

Wood stabilizing is a process used to enhance the durability and stability of wood by making it more resistant to environmental factors like moisture and temperature changes. This technique involves placing the wood in a vacuum chamber to remove air and moisture, then introducing a stabilizing resin under pressure. I stabilise wood myself in my workshop.
