This shaving Brush Handle is made of beautiful stabilised, spalted beech from a fallen tree from Baconstown Co.Meath.Ireland. Natural voids in the wood were filled with brass inlays.

This technique involves placing the wood in a vacuum chamber to remove air and moisture, then introducing a stabilizing resin under pressure. I stabilise wood myself in my workshop.
